Dates, Deadlines and Information
- Last day to change your party affiliation: Tuesday, June 4, 2024. (To change your party affiliation, visit the Town Clerk's office during business hours OR go to the Supervisors of the Checklist meeting on June 4, 2024 in the Town Offices from 6pm - 8pm.) To check your voter registration information, visit the NH Secretary of State - Voter Information page.
- Filing Period for State Office: Wednesday, June 5, 2024 - Friday, June 14, 2024. (The Town Clerk’s office will be open from 3pm - 5pm on Friday, June 14, 2024 for last minute filing.) Candidates can find all the information they need to run for State Office on the NH Secretary of State - Running for Office page.
- Last day to register to vote: Tuesday, September 3, 2024. (To register to vote, visit the Town Clerk's office during business hours OR go to the Supervisors of the Checklist meeting on September 3, 2024 in the Town Offices from 6pm - 8pm.) You may also register same-day on Election Day - however, we encourage you to register early in order to avoid any unnecessary delays at the polling place.
- Voting by Absentee Ballot Information:
- For State requirements and qualifications regarding absentee ballots, please read the NH Secretary of State - Absentee Ballots page.
- To request an Absentee Ballot for the NH State Primary, please complete the Absentee Ballot Request Application and mail or hand-deliver the completed form to the Candia Town Clerk's Office.
- Last day for Absentee Ballots: Monday, September 9, 2024 from 3pm - 5pm. (The Town Clerk’s office will be open from 3pm - 5pm on Monday, September 9, 2024 for last minute absentee ballots.)

- Polling Information: Polls are open on September 10, 2024 from 6am - 7pm at the Candia Youth Athletic Association, 27 Raymond Road, Candia, NH 03034.
