Safety Facility Committee

On September 21, 2020, the Board of Selectmen voted to form the Safety Facility Committee due to significant deficiencies and safety concerns of Candia's Police Department and Fire Department. At the Annual Town Meeting in March 2022, the voters agreed to purchase the land in order to build a facility which would house the Police Department, Fire Department and Highway Department.

The Committee includes members from various departments, boards and committees. Selectman Brien Brock serves as Chairman and Police Chief Mike McGillen serves as Vice-Chair.

Some of the duties the committee has been tasked with is working with the architects and contractors on the study, design and estimated costs of the proposed Safety Facility.
