About
Our Mission: To advocate for the proper utilization and protection of the natural resources and for the protection of watershed resources of Candia.
The primary goal of the Candia Conservation Commission is to protect the water resources, including wetlands, rivers, streams and riparian corridors, for future generations and wildlife, as well as to protect our natural resources and open space for the future of our town.
The Candia Conservation Commission is comprised of a group of 14 volunteers, which includes 7 regular members and several alternate members.
What We Do
- Review wetland applications with respect to road and building applications that are submitted to DES, making recommendations where appropriate.
- Attempt to promote and protect our rural character by hosting workshops and educating the residents about the importance of maintaining wildlife habitat and open spaces in our town.
