The Town of Candia, New Hampshire (population approx. 4,000) is seeking qualified candidates for the position of police chief.  Located in Southern New Hampshire, this rural community is located off exit 3 of Route 101.

The Police Department is a 24/7 department. The operating budget is $833,557. The Chief is expected to perform all the usual management and administrative duties of the position. On occasion may assume the responsibilities as a first responder.

The ideal candidate will have an associate degree or higher in a related field, ten years of law enforcement experience with at least five years in a progressive responsible management role or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience to demonstrate success in the position. Salary range is commensurate with qualifications. All applicants must be currently full-time certified through New Hampshire Police Standards and Training.
