Town of Candia seeking Payroll and Accounting Specialist

The Town of Candia, New Hampshire is seeking an experienced Payroll and Accounting Specialist, preferably with municipal experience.  The Town of Candia is located in Rockingham County off of Route 101 and is just one hour north of Boston.

The Town of Candia employs a workforce comprised of approximately 116 full-time/part-time employees and has an operating budget of approximately $4 million. They recently converted to MTS municipal software that streamlines their accounting processes.

The successful candidate should have experience with finance administration, general accounting practices, accounts payable, accounts receivable and benefits administration associate degree in accounting or related field and experience in municipal finance preferred; OR equivalent combination of experience and education which demonstrates an ability to be successful in the position. Starting salary commensurate with qualifications.  This position is full–time, 35 hours per week, Monday – Thursday. This position qualifies for benefits.
